Ingredients
  • 3 cups • all-purpose flour (360g)
  • 1 tablespoon • sugar
  • 1 packet • active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon • salt
  • 1 cup • warm water (110°F or 45°C) (240ml)
  • 1/4 cup • olive oil (60ml)
  • 1 tablespoon • chopped fresh rosemary (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1/2 cup • Parmesan cheese, grated (50g)
Instructions
  1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. 2. Add the warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. 6. Punch down the dough and knead in the chopped rosemary and grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. 7. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. 8. Let the loaf rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. 9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. 10. Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
