Ingredients
  • 1 lb • ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices • Swiss cheese
  • 8 oz • mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large • onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp • butter
  • 4 • burger buns
  • • Salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Form Patties: Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Sauté Mushrooms: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  4. Caramelize Onions: In the same skillet, add the onions and cook over medium heat until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Set aside.
  5. Grill Patties: Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  6. Add Cheese: During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
  7. Toast Buns: Toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  8. Assemble Burgers: Place the patties on the bottom halves of the buns. Top with sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
  9. Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy your mushroom Swiss burger!
