  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Assemble the Baklava: In a bowl, mix the chopped nuts with cinnamon and cloves. Layer 8 sheets of filo in the baking dish, brushing each with melted butter. Sprinkle with a layer of the nut mixture. Repeat, layering 2 sheets of filo with nuts and butter until all the nuts are used. Top with 8 more sheets of filo, buttering each layer. Cut into diamond or square shapes.
  3. Bake the Baklava: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
  4. Prepare the Syrup: In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, honey, vanilla, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the Syrup: Pour the hot syrup over the cooled baklava. Let sit for several hours to absorb the syrup.
  6. Serve: Serve at room temperature.
