Ingredients
    For the Dough:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons • active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup • granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup • unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon • salt
  • 2 large • eggs
  • 4 cups • all-purpose flour
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/2 cup • unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup • packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons • ground cinnamon
  • For the Cream Cheese Icing:
  • 4 ounces • cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup • unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups • powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon • vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes, until foamy.
  2. 2. Add the sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs to the bowl. Mix well.
  3. 3. Gradually add the flour to the bowl, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. 4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. 6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 16x21-inch rectangle.
